GO FIGURE - GOT CAMERA TO UPLOAD!

Last evening here - had a leisurely sit at our hotel's restaurant on the beach, while waiting for Betty. She had gone for a 4 hr walk!! Too hot for me!

I went after fish and chips/beer dinner! Ran into some cute kids and their dad's girlfriend took my picture with them.

Altar decked out in traditional black and white checked. Sort of like ying/yang, I was told.
Beautiful gravesite of Belgian artist Adrian Le Mayeur and his wife and model Ni Pollok.

He died in Belgium in 1958 at around 78. She came back here and lived in the house until she died at 68 in 1985.

4 room house they lived in.

Wood carved furniture. Paintings are very fragile. Very impressionistic!

Cute kids I ran into on my walk - from 2 to 5

He met Ni at 15 - she was a dancer. Married her maybe 4 years later. Didn't have any children as he didn't want her body misshapen by childbirth!
Gardens and sculptures in their yard.

Photo of the two of them in the 1930s

The compound was lovely!

Another room in the house.

One of the 88 paintings on display

His wife, Ni
Our driver will be here at 5 a.m. to get us to the airport about 40 minutes away. Off to Malaysia!
